This section contains definitions for terms, materials, and other items, as well as, important standards and guidelines. Symbol refers to the number used to represent the referenced footnote.

  SYMBOL DEFINITION(S)
  1 High dusting includes dusting of all horizontal and vertical surfaces (above 6 feet) not cleaned during nightly cleaning; term shall exclude ceilings but shall include air diffusers, the backs of fixture lenses, wall hangings, walls, partitions, doors, overhead pipes, high moldings, window treatments, and light fixtures.

  2 Polish should be non-acidic polish.

  3 Germicidal detergent, disinfectants, deodorant bars, scent systems, acids, and floor finishes and waxes must be approved by property management.

  4 All cleaning products and chemicals must be approved by property management. Materials shall be delivered to the site in the original containers with the product name, manufacturer, chemical dates, and warnings plainly marked on the label. Material Safety and Data Sheets (MSDS) must be submitted for all such materials and no substitutions shall be made by contractor without prior written approval from property manager.
