SECURITY GUARDS - Drug Testing

SECURITY GUARDS - Items to check at the beginning of each shift
Debriefing from previous shift.
Transfer and Sign for all Keys.
Review Security Log and Incident Reports for at least the last two shifts.
Review the Security Manual (Post Orders) for any procedural change.
Review all Security Systems (Cameras, Card Readers, Equipment monitoring, etc.) and make sure they are operational.
Make sure all doors (if any) are secured.
Transfer all security guard equipment (radios, flashlights, etc.) from the previous shift.
Check cars that are left over night and log vehicle tag number and vehicle description and enter in security log.
Other Tasks to be preformed by security officers at the beginning of each shift.
SECURITY GUARDS - Items to accomplish during each shift

Notify the designated property person on each Major Incident on the property.
Conduct roving patrols inside the building on all floors.
Conduct roving patrols outside the building.
Conduct roving patrols in the garage or parking lot.
Check to insure that all doors are secured and locked after hours.
Check stairwells for any obstructions and/or security problems.
Issue and control card access system for the building.
Control all personnel entering the property.
Check identification of personnel that are entering the property.
Control service deliveries to the property and have them sign the vendor log.
All personnel other than buildings employees must be escorted within the building.
Sign in and out all personnel entering the building after hours.

Respond to any building emergency (i.e. fire alarm, security alarm, mechanical failure, etc).
Monitor main security desk (Cameras, Security System, etc).
Monitor dock service area.
Monitor and control service vehicles using the dock area.
Register and issue decal for employee vehicles allowed in parking area.
Monitor and control visitors in the visitor’s area.
Take and control money if parking area has a charge for parking.
Conduct building tours.
Escort building personnel to their vehicles.
Raise, lower, and store flags.
Complete incident reports for all incidences that happen on the property.

Unlock doors (interior & exterior) in accordance with assigned schedule.
Maintain security logs.
Supervise all security guards on the project.
Supervise security guards for a shift.
Establish and maintain post instructions.
Enforce Compliance with property and regulations.
Establish Training Program.
Interview and get management approval for new personnel.
Maintain personnel work schedule.
Maintain quality standards for all security personnel.
Enforce the property policy on inside and outside Smoking.
Monitor Fire Lanes and Emergency entrances to the building.
Insure compliance with parking and use of ADA facilities.

SECURITY GUARDS - Items to check at the end of each shift
Debrief the on coming shift.
Transfer and Sign for all keys to the on coming shift.
Review Security Log and Incident Reports that have been completed during this shift and make sure they are correct.
Verify with the on coming shift that all Security Systems (Cameras, Card Readers, Equipment monitoring, etc.) and make sure they are operational.
Make sure all doors (if any) are secured.
Transfer all security guard equipment (radios, flashlights, etc.) to the on coming shift.
Notify the on coming shift of anything unusual that has happened.
Other Tasks to be preformed by security officers at the end of each shift.
SECURITY GUARDS - Contractor will provide the following items during the contract or with the proposal
Contractor will provide color photographs of style of uniform for approval.
Who will provide radio equipment for communication on property?
Provide resumes of corporate personnel directly responsible for this contract and key supervisor personnel assigned to the property.
Number of uniforms to provide for each security officer.
Startup/Transition plan and Schedule.
Provide Orientation and Assignment OJT training programs.
Provide Reference list of at least five clients who are currently using security service.
Provide a copy of current Certificate of Insurance.
Include any material program, product or intangibles that would enhance awarding the contract.
Note any aspects of the contract that cannot be met and contractor’s intention to meet the contract specifications.
